Volterra trasnforms its operations as an E-Mobility Service Provider
Volterra is a well-established electricity producer and supplier, and its activities revolve around the development of renewable energy and energy storage projects as well as in the wholesale and retail of electricity and natural gas. Furthermore, the company is becoming a part of the European electro vehicle (EV) market and is steadily investing financial resources to extend its portfolio in the energy spectrum. Volterra has activities as both an EV Charge Point Operator and an E-Mobility Service Provider.
Volterra, in its effort to tackle the EV market as an EMSP, demanded a native mobile application for electric vehicle owners, with main aim to simplify charging process. The application had exceed the limitations within its industry, encompassing all the features an end-user expects from a charging application. Remote start/stop of charging, contactless payments, e-roaming, charger booking, charging cost estimation for both home chargers and devices that are part of large-scale charging networks. Additionally, the application had to include all these amenities while offering an exclusive and personalized experience to the users through its user-interface.
Optechain customized its charging application for Volterra, and managed to launch it on the Appstore and Playstore, quickly and flexibly. The application offers an immersive user-experience and simplifies the overall charging process. Through the app, EV owners are able to set charging schedules and benefit from off-peak rates, monitor the status of their EV charging remotely, view charging and spending history, use the e-wallet to pay and estimate charging costs.
Volterra’s clients can save their favorite charging stations and get notified on their availability, and at the same time navigate to selected chargers through the default application.
Overall, the application elevates the experience of users and offers unbeatably easy charging experience.
