Research and Development lies at the core of Optechain’s operations and evolved us from a promising start-up into a successful business.

To us, research is inspired by actual challenges of the market, which we aim to meet with our powerful and innovative platform and its numerous products that transform business models.

With our groundbreaking technologies, we mark our presence in the developing energy market and the ever-changing in-store and phygital landscape, having developed prototypes for smart routing, AI and Machine Learning algorithms, smart advertising, and EV charging solutions.

How it’s possible

The company’s R&D activity is at large dedicated in discovering new methods to improve electromobility, both for corporations that operate charging networks and for end users, while considering the global effort to eliminate carbon emissions. For that matter, Optechain’s research efforts are focused on evolving technologies that improve the utilization of renewables in the electromobility market.

Additionally, the company devotes business resources to create new systems and better the existent ones, to improve the efficiency and reliability of solutions. This is the case in both retail and energy & e-mobility solutions. Planning, designing, and conducting experiments to investigate and analyze performance is the main occupancy of the company.

The company has met great success in coming up with uniquely new technologies that involve complex scientific concepts. This is demonstrated by the attainment of several awards from elite organizations.

AWARDS

MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Greece is a chapter of a global entrepreneurial network inspired by MIT Massachusetts Institute of Technology), one of the world’s top technology universities.

The MITEF Greece Startup Competition, one of the leading acceleration programs in South-Eastern Europe, has been running for the past seven years and is designed to help early-stage entrepreneurs transform their ideas into world-changing companies.

During the 2020 competition, Optechain entered in the finalist group for the category: “Energy” with our Optecharge solution

Launched by the Ministry of Development and Investments, Elevate Greece is the official platform for the Greek startup ecosystem, aiming to identify promising startups. 1st cycle of the program provided support, guidance, networking opportunities and international promotion to the companies; plus, a funding of 100.000€ (max) per StartUp to help them grow and thus nurturing a robust innovation in the StartUp ecosystem of Greece.
